The current disc golf course at Buck Creek State Park has seen a great deal of use over the last few years.  What started as an empty canvas has blossomed into a pro caliber disc golf experience.  The last year has seen a redesign of the original 18-hole layout that was designed by Bill Gladman and Sean Meier.  This is not to say there were any issues with the original layout, but there is always room to improve given the beautiful property at Buck Creek State Park.

The newest layout concentrated on the first 10 holes, which were mostly in the wooded areas of the land being used.  This layout expanded deeper into the wooded area and allowed for a greater challenge to the disc golfer.  The design added four new holes as well as restructuring the others.  Nothing was done to redesign holes 13 through 18, as they are well-established holes with beautiful vistas of the lake and marina.  Sean Meier laid out the newest design with the assistance of Carl Chiles, the current Co-Course Pro.

A tee pad project was initiated in 2010 to install 18 concrete tee pads for the course.  This was completed in the spring of 2011. This was the finishing touch to a great tract for disc golf.  Currently there is a doubles format league that is held on Sunday’s at noon.
