Boating is a popular activity on the 2,120 acre lake at Buck Creek State Park.  The unlimited horsepower lake provides great opportunities for water skiers, power boaters as well as sail boaters, kayakers and fishermen.  Please note that the entire north end of the lake is a no-wake zone.  A four-lane public boat launch ramp located just north of the public beach provides easy access to the lake. 

Buck Creek State Park Main Launch Ramp Improvement Project

Construction on the new Buck Creek State Park Launch Ramp Project has been completed.  The new launching facility has six lanes.  This is two lanes more than the old ramp.  Click here for photos and other information on the ramp construction.

Buck Creek State Park Marina

The Marina at Buck Creek State Park offers a range of services.  There are 186 seasonal docks as well as 12 concession docks.  The marina concession also provides fuel, a snack bar and a bait shop for convenience items.

The 186 seasonal docks are available through the boat dock lottery which takes place on the third Saturday of September each year.  Applications are accepted only during the month of August for the drawing in September.  Applicants need not be present at the lottery to obtain a dock.  Winners will be notified via mail in and must pay for their dock in March of the following year.  Dock fees are $27/dock foot/per season (fees are subject to change).  A season is April 1 - October 31.  Winners obtain a five-year dock lease.  Leasees must advise Buck Creek State Park each of those five years if they are planning on keeping their dock.
